The New Mexico Nomads

by Carl Innes

Butterfly Temples Studio presents Carl Innes' most recent work, The New Mexico Nomads. After the death of their mother, a teenage girl is forced to become the guardian of her younger brothers when their alcoholic father uproots the family from Victorian England to the wilds of New Mexico—only to find themselves entangled with a mysterious group of supernatural nomads who offer salvation, but at a chilling cost.

In the summer of 1869, a young English girl’s life is shattered when her mother dies suddenly, leaving her to care for her two younger brothers in the wake of their father's descent into alcohol-fueled negligence. When her father sells their family estate and moves them to New Mexico under the illusion of starting a new life as cattle ranchers, the girl must take charge in a harsh and unfamiliar land.

The New Mexico Nomads is a haunting gothic western about grief, resilience, and the cost of survival, blending historical drama with supernatural horror.
